Introduction
Welcome to BeyondMinds – Professional, Culturally Sensitive Psychotherapy and Counselling.
My name is Muhammad Zaman, and I am the founder of BeyondMinds, a professional psychotherapy and counselling service dedicated to supporting individuals through emotional, psychological, and spiritual challenges. I hold a BA Honours degree in Psychotherapy and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
With extensive experience in the fields of trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship and marriage counselling, life coaching, and spiritual development, I offer a compassionate and client-centred approach tailored to each individual’s unique needs. My work is underpinned by a deep understanding of the cultural and religious dynamics that often influence mental health and well-being.

Experience and Qualifications
In addition to my therapeutic qualifications, I am also a qualified interpreter, with experience working within the NHS, UK law courts, and social services. This has enhanced my ability to support clients from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds and to communicate sensitively and effectively across language and cultural barriers.
As an Imam and prison chaplain, I have worked extensively within the criminal justice system, offering spiritual care, mentoring, and counselling to individuals facing some of life’s most difficult circumstances. This unique perspective allows me to integrate psychological insight with spiritual and cultural awareness in a respectful, inclusive manner.
Philosophy and Commitment
At BeyondMinds, my goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space where clients feel truly heard, supported, and empowered. I am especially committed to breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health in faith-based and ethnic minority communities, and to providing accessible, relevant, and meaningful support to those who may feel overlooked in traditional settings.
Whether you are facing personal difficulties, navigating a life transition, or seeking growth and clarity, BeyondMinds is here to walk alongside you — with professionalism, empathy, and respect.
